SpryPixel is a Technivant-sponsored site that offers free video and photo sharing to any registered user. No storage or bandwidth limits. Simply upload your media and use the site's tools to share them with friends.

We wanted the site to be easy enough for our mothers to use -- people of all ages and expertise levels should be able to easily add and manage their content. Furthermore, we wanted users to be able to upload a wide variety of video formats and have them converted to web-friendly Flashvideo.

Lastly we wanted a social networking site where users could publish content into group albums, invite their friends, notify them when new content is posted, and create group albums around events like weddings or births.

We used this in-house project to experiment with bleeding-edge social networking and video hosting technologies to give something back to our community.
