OSP Magazine
Online magazine & video channel for the telecommunications industry

Project Highlights
- Articles are arranged in monthly issue format
- Editors prepare a fully unpublished version of the edition before it goes live, including ad space
- OSP TV: web-based video channel that utilizes a content delivery network (CDN) to improve performance and significantly lower hosting costs
- Ad metrics (pageviews, impressions, clicks) are tracked and correlated with user profile data (job title, role in organization, etc) to better market the site's ad space
Client's Goals
OSP Magazine, the primary source of information for over 86,000 professionals in the telecommunication and Cable TV markets, turned to Technivant to develop a new website that would provide greater flexibility in its publishing and advertising capabilities. Specifically:
- Allow the Magazine's team (columnists, industry experts, frequent contributors, editors, design team) to collaboratively publish each issue
- Custom editorial workflow: approval > reject > request changes > resubmit for editorial approval
- Queue next month's edition to go live on the first of the month and automatically archive the current edition
- Provide web space for promoting and managing the company's annual convention (OSP Expo)
- Host OSPTV, a new video channel featuring industry experts
- Feature articles by leading industry experts, web-only content, users comments, and other social media tools
- Track advertising metrics by user demographics (name, title, role in organization, etc); provide detailed advertising reports
